Bently's Priorities

Texas families are working harder than ever, yet the systems designed to support them continue to fall short. Bently Paiz is focused on delivering real solutions that improve daily life for working people across San Antonio and House District 120.

These priorities are shaped by lived experience, community input, and a belief that government should work for people — not corporations.

Mental Health Care

Mental health care should be accessible, timely, and treated as essential health care. Bently supports strengthening community-based services, investing in providers, and reducing barriers that prevent people from getting help when they need it. No one should be left waiting during a crisis.

Public Education

Texas students deserve schools that prepare them for real life, not just standardized tests. Bently supports investing in teachers, mental health support in schools, and curriculum that values creativity, critical thinking, and community engagement.

Affordable Living & Basic Needs

Housing, utilities, and food should never be out of reach for working families. Bently supports using existing state resources to help families stay housed, keep the lights on, and put food on the table — especially during periods of hardship.

Housing Stability

Too many families are one emergency away from losing their home. Bently supports policies that prevent displacement, strengthen tenant protections, and expand access to safe, affordable housing across Texas.

Livable Family Wage

Working full-time should be enough to live with dignity. Bently believes wages must reflect the real cost of living and that economic policy should support workers and small businesses, not just large corporations.n

Transportation & Infrastructure

Reliable transportation connects people to jobs, education, and opportunity. Bently supports modern transit solutions and infrastructure investments that prioritize people, safety, and long-term community needs.
